Hi, I’m McKayla, the heart behind the lens. I’ve always been drawn to capturing life’s quiet, in-between moments — the kind you can feel long after they’ve passed. Ever since I was little, I was the one with a camera in hand, taking photos of everything and everyone on family trips and adventures. There’s something about a camera pausing a moment in time forever that I can’t stop chasing after.

My photography journey officially began back in 2016, when I moved to Virginia. With the encouragement of my best friend — my first “model” and biggest supporter — I started exploring the world through my camera, learning, experimenting, and growing with every shot. I quickly discovered that photography is endless learning — and that’s what I love most about it. None of us start perfect, but through trial, error, and heart, we find our voice and style.

When the world slowed down in 2020, I put my camera away to focus on my most important role — being a mama. I have four little ones, and they’ve taught me more about patience, love, and presence than I could have imagined. Now, as I step into this new season, I’m ready to pick up my camera again and pour that same love and presence into every session.

I’m based in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, serving Charleston, Bluffton, Beaufort, Summerville, and beyond. My photography style is moody, heartfelt, and lifestyle-driven, focused on capturing real emotion, authentic connection, and the stories that make you you.
